Gennedy Martirosyan
WINS Russian
160lb Belt
Rising
middleweight star HyeFighter Gennady
Martirosyan (15-1, 5 KOs) proved to be too
much for veteran Alexey Chirkov (18-5, 11
KOs), stopping him in brutal fashion to
acquire a vacant Russian 160lb belt.
Chirkov’s seconds stopped the bout
immediately after the third round

HyeFighter Gevor TKOs Asikainen for Euro
belt!
Middleweight
title contender Khoren Gevor (30-3, 16 KOs)
won the European middleweight championship
with a seventh round KO over Amin Asikainen
(25-2, 17 KOs) on Friday before over 9000
fanatical supporters at the Hartwall Arena
in Helsinki, Finland.
Already in the first round both fighter held
back nothing and a left hook by Gevor near
the end of the round sent Asikainen to the
canvas. In the next few rounds, however,
Asikainen got the upper hand and gave Gevor
problems. Gevor took command again in round
five and opened round seven with an
explosive attack that again sent Asikainen
to the deck. Asikainen made it back on his
feet at the count of eight, but his corner
threw in the towel.
The deeply disappointed, but fair Finnish
audience applauded the winner Gevor when
leaving from the nearly sold-out arena.
Gevor can use the European belt as a
springboard toward another world title
challenge.
"Khor had a great fight," trainer Fritz
Sdunek said proudly. First, he wanted to
decide it with power, but then adjusted to
his strengths and good counter-punching. A
deserved victory!"

HyeFightyer Abraham
defends his title
Via 6th Round TKO
Unbeaten IBF middleweight champion "King"
Arthur Abraham (28-0, 23 KOs) punished then
stopped mandatory challenger Raul "El
Diamante" Marquez (41-4-1, 29 KOs) on
Saturday night at the Jako Arena, Bamberg,
Germany. After some close early rounds,
Abraham began to connect with hard shots in
round three. Marquez landed some good body
shots in the fourth, but the champion did
inflicted damage at the end of the round and
controlled the bout thereafter. After taking
heavy bombardment from Abraham in round six,
Marquez quit on his stool. It was the eighth
successful defense by Abraham, who will now
look to unify against WBC/WBO champion Kelly
Pavlik or WBA champion Felix Sturm.

Compliments of Raymond Rodriguz)
In a highly anticipated WBC/WBA/IBF
super flyweight unification
bout, HyeFighter Vic Darchinyan
(30-1-1, 24 KOs) dominated,
punished and eventually knocked
out Cristian Mijares (36-3-2, 14
KOs) to claim all three 115lb
belts on Saturday night at the
Home Depot in Carson,
California. Darchinyan came out
aggressively and dropped Mijares
with a quick and precise
uppercut at the end of the first
round to set the tone of the
bout. Darchinyan continued to
stalk as the bout progressed and
Mijares seemed unable to figure
out Darchinyan's powerful and
unrelenting style. The bout
ended with a spectacular ninth
round KO when Darchinyan laid
out Mijares for good with a huge
straight left. Time was 3:00.

HyeFighter Vanes Martirosyan
wins by KO
quickly destroys Howe, stays
unbeaten
It took rising, HyeFighter star
Vanes "The Nightmare"
Martirosyan just under a minute
and a half to put opponent
Charlie Howe down and out inside
the Mandalay Events Center in
Las Vegas Saturday Night proving
he is ready, able and willing to
have his shot.
Martirosyan came out sharp, as
usual and took command with on
target punches. The former
Olympian quickly found a range
for his jab and followed them up
with crisp right hands only a
couple times before finding pay
dirt. In only seconds
Martirosyan tagged Howe with an
overhand right that sent him
crashing to the floor.
After beating the count, Howe
continued the contest, but not
for long, as Martirosyan found
his mark quickly and finished
the still recovering Ohio native
at 1:20 of the opening round. It
was referee Tony Gibson who
stepped in and saved Howe
(16-6-2, 6 KOs) who lasted ten
rounds with John Duddy this past
June.
UPCOMING FIGHT
Darchinyan's Comments about his upcoming
fight
HYEFIGHTER VIC DARCHINYAN
"He
is a very good fighter, but when he feels my
punches he will feel different. He's fought
some tough guys, but no one like me.
"I know when I'm talking that I will
deliver. I'm going to be too much for him.
He's overrated.
"I've fought southpaws before. It's no
different for me.
"I'm going to do some boxing. You're going
to see how fast and smart I am on Saturday.
"I'm going to put on a show for my Armenian
fans at The Home Depot Center.
"I'm very confident and ready for this
fight. I'm ready to fight anyone.
"I think I am the best fighter he has ever,
and will ever, fight. His style is an
amateur style. I will deliver.
"I want to become the undisputed world
champion after this fight.
"On Saturday, you're going to see a
different Vic Darchinyan. I won't try to
take him out with just one punch. You're
going to see a much smarter Vic on Saturday
night.
"Mijares is a very good fighter, but that's
OK when you fight someone that doesn't have
the power that I have. He's fought guys that
don't have my power.
"The Mexican fans are going to support me
because they are going to see
a warrior. They like to see warriors and
they will see it in me on Saturday.
"People pay the money and they want to see
exciting fights. I'll give it to them on
Saturday.
"In my one loss my opponent didn't beat me,
I beat myself. You won't see any of that
against Mijares. I'm going to prove that I
am focused to be the undisputed world
champion.
"All I'm thinking about is this fight. I
haven't been this excited and dedicated
since my first world title fight.
"The only fight I wanted was Mijares. I want
to fight who everyone thinks is the best so
I can prove that I'm the best."
